This Privacy Notice describes how Navilde (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our software product NavVide (the “App”) and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

NavVide is a desktop-based application providing Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), monitoring, and analytics capabilities. If you do not agree with this Privacy Notice, you should not use the Services.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Information You Provide: We collect information you voluntarily provide, including account credentials (username, email address, password), authentication data (e.g., TOTP secrets for two-factor authentication), and communications (support inquiries, feedback).

1.2 Licensing Data: When you install or use NavVide, we collect limited technical data required to operate licensing and authentication systems: Hardware Identifier (Hardware ID) used to bind licenses to a machine, and License Status Data including activation timestamps and validation logs.

1.3 Local-First Processing (ANPR Data): NavVide processes sensitive operational data locally on your device. This includes video streams and image frames, license plate recognition results, detection logs, watchlists, alerts, and analytics. This data is stored and processed entirely on your local system, is not transmitted to Navilde servers, and remains under your full control and responsibility.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use collected data to create and manage user accounts, authenticate users securely, validate and enforce software licensing, and prevent fraud and unauthorized usage. All ANPR-related processing occurs locally within the NavVide application to detect and recognize vehicle license plates, generate alerts, and produce analytics.

3. YOUR ROLE AS DATA CONTROLLER

For all data captured and processed through cameras and ANPR functionality, you (the user or organization deploying NavVide) act as the Data Controller. You are responsible for ensuring lawful use of surveillance systems, providing appropriate notice (e.g., CCTV signage), obtaining consent where required, and handling data subject requests. Navilde does not control or process this data and is not responsible for its use.

4. DATA SHARING & RETENTION

We limit data sharing strictly to what is necessary. Account information may be transmitted to Navilde-operated servers to validate licenses. We do not sell personal data, share ANPR or surveillance data, or access customer video feeds or logs. Licensing and account data are retained only as long as necessary to provide the Services or comply with legal obligations. All ANPR and operational data is stored locally and retained based on your own configuration and policies.

5. DATA SECURITY & AUTOMATED PROCESSING (AI)

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including secure authentication. Important: Data stored locally by NavVide is not encrypted by default and remains under your control. You are responsible for implementing appropriate security measures on your systems.

NavVide uses machine learning to detect and recognize license plates. NavVide does not make legally binding decisions. Any actions such as denying access, issuing penalties, or enforcement must involve human review.

6. CONTACT & DATA RIGHTS

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, or restriction to processing. To exercise rights related to licensing/account data, contact our team below. For locally stored ANPR data, you must manage requests directly within your NavVide installation.
